Anikulapo the Movie - Lessons

Another Yoruba film I watched recently is Anikulapo.

In Anikulapo, a film of Saro the Weaver and Arolake the Olori.  Saro forgot how much he owed Arolake, he disrespected her with his women and slapped her.

We learnt of the problems that can arise where there are many wives in a Royal house.

We learnt of the bravery of women as illustrated by Arolake.

We learnt that iwa, (character) is important, with Saro unable to control his appetites

We learnt that there are consequences for our actions.

Excellent film by Kunle Afolayan, hope he continues to make these Yoruba films that showcase Yoruba culture, traditions, the beauty of our language with fantastic actors and the universal lessons of life.
