This blog will cover all things Yoruba and other matters principally from a Yoruba perspective.

The Yoruba are an ancient people, who built empires, the Ife Empire in the 11th Century, the Oyo Empire in the 16th Century come to mind, there were also numerous kingdoms.  They are a people of between 40 and 50 million trapped in the colonial enterprise called Nigeria and upwards of  200 in the diaspora. Nigeria was created to make money for the colonial bandits and if it destroyed the Yoruba language, culture, values and our land then who cares. 

Every generation is a new people and with the blessing of Olodumare, we will have a separate sovereign Yoruba nation, Oduduwa Republic.

Yoruba Value System

In Yorubaland, money has never been at the top of Yoruba value system.   In the Yoruba value system money is number 5, what are the first 4? The first is laaka'ye which is the application of ogbon, imo, oye (knowledge, wisdom, understanding).
