AJÉ OLÓKÙN, AL-JINN AND MONEY RITUAL
AJÉ OLÓKÙN, AL-JINN AND MONEY RITUAL
The òrìṣà of wealth in Yorùbá land is linked with water for a good reason. You can hardly do something economic without the use of water. Water is the life blood of commerce. Without it, farmers would not grow crops. Dyers will not make cloth, etc.
You also seal a transaction by calling her name as witness to your truthfulness about the price. Once you do this, the other party believes you and the transaction may take place. That is the extent to which people hold Aje in high esteem.
Ajé is also used synonymously with money in Yorùbá land. You may hear a Yorùbá man or woman shout "Ajé ooo" upon seeing a huge money. This is because the most physical expression of this Òrìṣà is money.
All these explanations are necessary because some Arabic language speakers and Arab religion adherents have started spreading lies about Òrìṣà Ajé.
👆Ajé will not give you money if you don't work or do any business.
✌️Ajé is not the òrìṣà of money ritualists. This is important because some Nollywood portray her as the patron devil bringing money to ritualists.
🖖Money ritual is actually an alien belief to the Yoruba, it came with those who believe in àlùjọ̀nú. Al-jinn is said to feast on dried bones or rotten flesh of dead humans. The Wikipedia entry on Jinn puts it this way:
"The Jinn are also mentioned in collections of canonical hadiths. According to the reports of the hadiths, the jinn eat like humans, but instead of fresh food, they prefer rotten flesh and bones. Another hadith advises to close doors and keep children close at night for the jinn go around and snatch things away."
It is not a stretch of logic to say that some mullahs started giving al-jinn what they like to eat in order to send them on errand to go and snatch another person's properties. After all, a particular "Prophet" went to their realm to preach to them. Thus they have a section of their scripture dedicated to these rotten-flesh eating spirits and a prayer house in their name.
If you don't believe, check their scriptures. Also, go to police and check the statistics of those who have been caught with human parts. You will be surprised by their names.
Please don't mutilate the identity of our AJÉ with your snatcher-snatcher al-jinn.
