Here in Yorubaland, hair styles are part of how women show their beauty so its culturally acceptable. This practise didn't make Yoruba men to sexually harass their women. Gele and others are also worn as part of fashion not for religious purposes and it's not enforced by culture or religion.
In contrast in parts of the Arab world, it's their cultural practices for women to cover their head because they believe if a woman's head is not covered it turns Arab men on sexual, so they made it a sin.
