Union

Scotland and England have been in a union since 1707 through the act of union. Both England and Scotland were present when the union was formed. 318 years of the relationship has made the Scottish and English to live an interwoven life.

Inter-marriage was very common  between the two nations, despite this, Scotland still seeks an independent  state. These people are only 5million people.

It's very disturbing when a Yoruba person  argument for supporting one Nigeria is because  of "inter-marriage."What does marriage have to do with building a nation state?

If Marriage  is the reason for building  a nation state, France and England  will be one country, Scotland would not be trying to get out of the 318 years old union.
